Recent Fall Obsession
My recent fall obsession has definitely been the color brown! As the leaves change to orange I think brown colors reflect autumn beautifully!
I like to match any brown boots with my brown leather jacket and a heavy knit scarf. My "Craave" boots by Steve Madden are also a purchase I've made that is to die for!! They make every outfit look stylish and are so comfy. Of course, they're in the brown color palette as well. |
Some Fall Must Haves!
If you're anything like me, you like to look good no matter where you're going. But when you're in a rush, it makes looking well put together very difficult. Below are some must-have items that you should have ready in your Fall closet.
- V Neck: I always go for gray, black, or white. Any outfit can be thrown on with this.
- High Low Shirts: I love to pair these with leggings and boots.
- Flannel: I feel like everyone should have at least one go-to flannel. This can be put over a tank top, vneck, or for layering.
- Striped Sweater: The best time to wear a striped sweater is all the time, right?
- Vest: A NorthFace vest can make even a sweatshirt outfit look good.
- Boyfriend Jeans: You can pair these with absolutely everything!
- Boots: Whether they're high-heel booties, Hunter rain boots, or combat boots, they can make a solid thrown together outfit.
- One Go-To Accessory: This can be a chunky necklace, bag, or scar.f.
How to Wear Your Summer Clothes In The Fall
Everyone has those favorite summer outfits that they're sad to put in the back of their closets during the winter and fall months. You don't have to! It's easy to make a summer outfit a fall outfit.
The photoshoot outfit on the right I used to wear during the summer with sandals and shorts, but I transformed it into a fall outfit by adding rain boots and leggings. You too can easily transform a summer outfit into a fall outfit with the tips I listed below. 1. Add a sweater or cardigan. If your shirt is a bit too chilly to wear outside, you can easily just throw on something over it. 2. Add tights underneath your shorts. This is a VERY hard trend to pull off, but if you can, then go full for it! A picture of my favorite tights under shorts, found on Pinterest, is featured on the right. 3. Trade in sandals for boots. 4. Throw on jeans instead of shorts. Some summer shirts (my favorite summer shirts are flawy, open-backed tank tops) look just as cute with white jeans or capris as they do with shorts. |

#OOTD
Shirt: B'Jewel Clothing Brand (bought at T.J. Maxx)
Cardigan: Mossimo Supply Co. Junior's Pointelle Back Cardigan Sweater (bought at Target!) Shorts: Hollister! I bought these shorts about 3 years ago and I still love wearing them! If you buy a plain pair of white shorts you can shred and make holes in them yourself. I love wearing these because the bottoms are fitted so they're comfy to wear. Bag: Lucky Brand (bought at T.J. Maxx) Bracelet: I made this myself! You can purchase a pack at Michael's called Artminds Mystery Braid Kit. They come in multiple different colors and you braid them yourself. Shoes: Target sandals! They're brown in the front and black in the back with gold accents. |

Summer Nail Polishes
Summer is definitely the time for BRIGHT nails! I'm a huge fan of pastels in good weather. Few things look better than a nice pedicure and manicure with an eye-popping color. Below are a few of my favorites.
You can buy these polishes at Ulta, Walmart, or Target.

Summer Inspiration ☀
In Lauren Conrad's recent blog post (http://laurenconrad.com) she posted one of the most current trends of summer, high waisted bikinis! And quite honestly, I'm loving them! (See the picture on the left). I definitely think it depends on the print, but I love the old fashion look. Everyone is rocking high waisted shorts, so why not try the bikini? It is not a trend everyone can pull off, but if you have the ambition and nerve to, I say go for it!! Another summer trend that I've seen begin to make an appearance is the "off the shoulder" tops. Personally, I love them! I wore them in my last photo shoot (picture on the right.) If your shoulders are a feature you are not a fan of, I wouldn't recommend them. Nothing looks better than confidence!!
Sperry''s
Love, love, LOVE my Sperry's!! Usually known as the "boating" shoe, they're one of the comfiest pairs of shoes I've ever had. Not only are they beginning to get popular, but they're the perfect shoe for summer to just slip on when you're not feeling like wearing white converses.
Fourth Of July Outfit Inspiration
The Fourth of July is right around the corner (two days!) and with all the parties and celebration, I've definitely been looking on Pinterest for outfit inspiration. Some of my favorite looks are listed below (found on Pinterest- I do not have rights over these photos!) I'm obsessed with boho styles, so the picture on the right has a bit of a Patriotic boho twist! My Fourth of July outfits will definitely include a bandeau, bandana, and high waisted shorts!
